Wallace F. Glaser, age 85, of Prairie Farm, WI died Monday, August 13th, 2018 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. He was born May 9th, 1933 to William & Mildred (Eliason) Glaser in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County, WI. He was baptized & confirmed at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957 & on January 18th, 1958, he was married to Janet Wegan at Cameron. Wallace farmed from 1961-1984 & also held many other jobs over the years. He did construction work, worked for Midwest Ducts in Prairie Farm, mowed cemeteries & lawns, worked for area farmers, gardened, did woodcrafts & did volunteer work for the food pantry. He was also the Treasurer for St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Cemetery & dug graves for many of the cemeteries in the area for several years. He & Janet joined the Ridgeland Lutheran Church in 2001 where Wallace also served on the Church Council.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents & brothers: George & Ken. He is survived by his wife: Janet of Prairie Farm, sons: Kevin (Geeg) & John Glaser, all of Prairie Farm, granddaughter: Heidi Glaser, step-grandchildren: Renee Watkins, Kristin (Joseph) Lehman, Jesse (Rick) Ferrer & Jacob (Crystal) Hutchison, great grandchildren: Tanner, Kiley, Parker, Keyton, Amari, Jalen, Avery, Iyanna, Jordan, Evan, Alana & Stevenial, sister: Linda (Tom) Tabor, Godchild: Amy Glaser, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral Services
A visitation will be (was) held from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, August 17th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas. Interment will be at a later date in Northern WI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
