William Shearrow Obituary

William (Bill) Jay Shearrow of Cameron, Wisconsin, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Dove Health Care-West in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Bill was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on October 14, 1933 to Elmer and Hazel (Stearns) Shearrow. He was baptized April 1st, 1934 in Canton, Wisconsin. Bill graduated from Rice Lake High School and attended the National School of Meat Cutting in Toledo, Ohio after graduation. Bill later served his country in the United States Army at Fort Lewis, Washington and was honorably discharged in 1959. Following his honorable discharge, Bill was a member of the Army National Guards until 1963. Later, he worked as a salesman for Mass Merchandisers in Minneapolis, Minnesota until he retired in 1996. Bill was married to Lois Jean (Bonkrud) at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron, Wisconsin on March 30, 1957. He enjoyed deer hunting “Up North” and taking Fly – In – Fishing trips to Canada with his family. Bill also enjoyed traveling and taking annual vacations with his brothers and sisters. He also enjoyed wood working, refinishing furniture, watching baseball and football games, and spending time with his children and very special grandchildren. Bill was a kind and gentle man and always willing to help others.

Preceding Bill in death were his parents, sister: JoAnn (Don) Posta, brother – in – law: Willard Arnold and sister – in – law: Sandra Shearrow. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Lois Jean, children: Tim Shearrow of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Kevin (Amy) Shearrow of Grand Junction, Colorado and Maribeth (Ross) Cooper of Spring Valley, Minnesota, siblings: Kenneth (Valerie Brown) Shearrow of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Joyce (John) Kruit of Athens, Wisconsin, Elnore (Victor) Eckstein of Jasper, Indiana, Richard (Connie) Shearrow of Andover, Minnesota, Zona Shearrow of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters– in law: Janet (Ken) Dummer and Sandra Arnold of Kirksville, Missouri, grandchildren: Jenna Shearrow, Matthew Shearrow and Andrew Shearrow of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Jay Shearrow of Grand Junction, Colorado, Christian Cooper of Spring Valley, Minnesota, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service

Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron, Wisconsin, with Pastor Paul Peterson, of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Frederic, Wisconsin officiating and interment following in the Dallas Cemetery. Visitation will be (was) held Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Rausch – Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron, Wisconsin. In lieu flowers, remembrance memorials to Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Frederic, Wisconsin, Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron, Wisconsin, or a contribution to the memorial of your choice would be treasured. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
